Designed to evoke the dark, violent, but sexy instrumentals heard in Vessel’s “Punish Honey” album. Without lyrics to draw from, I found inspiration in Hanns Heinz Ewers 1911 horror novel, Alraune, concerning mandragora mythology and Lilith. A girl is conceived in a lab using a prostitute and the sperm of a hangman. The girl brings her adopted father wealth and luck but also grows to be a sexual deviant whose string of suitors meet violent ends.
